Paul Majek’s work embodies a fluidity around his figures, delving into landscapes of memory, generational dialogue, and spirituality. Majek uses oil, acrylic, and charcoal on wood, canvas and paper, drawing and staining wood allows him to create a deeply layered surface, exploring opacity and transparency, he draws on archival family photos and personal narratives. Combining his painted surfaces with video, sculptural elements, and found objects, often situating them within altar-like domestic interiors.
